We, the UK's largest packaging distributor have an exciting opportunity for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Greenwoods Stock Boxes acquisition based in Nottingham.

HGV Class 2 Driver – Key Duties

  • Multiple customer deliveries in the local region (average of 1-15 drops daily)
  • Drive Company HGV vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures & legislation
  • Provide a professional HGV driving service, to meet & exceed customer expectations
  • Comply with the vehicle security and standing procedure at all times
  • Carry out HGV vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks (reporting defects) prior to the operation of any vehicle
  • Report any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act

Do you have the correct profile? 
Firstly, you must be an experienced Class 2 Driver with the appropriate driving license (with no more than 6 points) and be able to evidence at least two year's experience of commercial HGV driving within a Distribution industry. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible 'can do' attitude. Given the outlined working pattern for nighttime trunking, you must be happy with these proposed hours of work on a long-term arrangement as this is a permanent contract of employment.
