The Company
Our established manufacturing operation in Westbury is currently hiring a Technical Production Operative to start work on a full time, permanent salaried contract.
Our specialist manufacturing division designs and produces bespoke protective packaging solutions which are designed exclusively for customers in safeguarding their products in transit. Customers span several key sectors including: Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.
The Role & Responsibilities
Joining our busy production and engineering departments, you will find yourself working across several small teams, project managing specific customer requirements and undertaking continuous improvement programmes. When required, using a range of hand-held tools, conversion machinery and/or undertaking specific assembly duties. Each of our manufacturing areas work to produce bespoke packaging components in line with customer orders and specification, so your core tasks and responsibilities will vary, but are likely to include the following:
Who we are looking for
We welcome your application if you are a production operative with inspection and quality control experience with career aspirations looking to develop their knowledge and skill base.
You will ideally be practical and familiar with using a range of associated hand-tools and machinery, whilst upholding health, safety, and quality standards.
Any knowledge of production techniques, corrugate, timber, foam or metalwork products would be advantageous.
The ability to read/interpret technical drawings would be useful as would experience of working to tight deadlines.
You will ideally reside within a reasonable daily commute to our Westbury site and have a positive attitude and flexible approach to work including overtime as required.
