Part of Macfarlane Group PLC, Macfarlane Packaging is the UK’s largest packaging distributor and we are seeking to hire a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our established Luxury Presentation Packaging team based in Gloucester. The Supply Chain Coordinator Role
Working as a member of our specialist luxury & presentation packaging team, this role will support both the immediate team and stakeholders across our wider Group business. This appointment is therefore integral to the success of the business, with the successful candidate working full time hours (37.5 per week Monday-Friday) within a fast-paced office environment and undertaking a variety of core duties.
Supply Chain Coordinator Key Duties
Do you have the correct profile?
You will have at least 1-2 years commercial office experience, preferably having worked within a busy/fast paced environment (you will be used to handling multiple enquiries and prioritising your own workload). Experience of having worked within a similar distribution or retail arena would be useful but is not essential. Packaging experience is certainly not required and whilst direct purchasing/supply chain experience is by no means needed, previous exposure to working with buyers/purchasing professionals could be highly advantageous. Applicants must have Strong Excel spreadsheets & data analysis skills (essential) along with generally strong PC skills incorporating CRM/MS Office etc. Above all else, we are seeking an autonomous person, who is able to react quickly to requirements and situations, using their own initiative. You will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, team working approach and excellent customer service & communication skills. Furthermore, you will ideally already hold a reasonable level of general understanding with regards to logistics/transportation and supply chain.
