The Company
Macfarlane Group PLC is the UK’s largest packaging distributor and we are seeking to hire an experienced Office Administrator to help support our local procurement team based in Avonmouth, Bristol. The Office Administrator Role
Supporting our locally based procurement team, this role will support both the local site and national procurement strategy.  This role is integral to the success of the business, with the successful candidate ensuring all administration, office procedures and processes are upheld accurately.

Office Administrator Key Duties  
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Expedite Purchase orders
  • Process orders
  • Generate reports for analysis
  • Process supplier quotes
  • Receipt purchase order reception notes
  • Process supplier returns
  • Assist with admin duties.
  • Resolve invoice queries
  • Maintain goods in schedules
  • Monitor and manage mailboxes
  • Outbound calling where required


Do you have the correct profile?
The successful candidate will ideally have some previous similar office administration/support role, working within a fast-paced commercial environment. Prior experience of working within a purchasing/procurement environment would be an additional advantage but is by no means essential as training can be provided. You will have a strong eye for detail and accuracy, enjoy analysing & reviewing data, have excellent organisation skills, possessing the ability to work well under pressure whilst prioritising workloads effectively. You will also be enthusiastic and proactive, numerate and be computer literate with a reasonable working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and Outlook.
