The National Account Manager Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Retail division of our National Accounts team at Macfarlane Packaging. Join us and you will enjoy responsibility for the management and development of a significant portfolio of major retail customers (typically with annual spend in excess of £250-£500k). We are proud to have several of the UK’s best known high street and online brands as our customers and it’s important that we continue to provide continual improvement and deliver innovative solutions to their needs whilst ensuring first class customer service delivery. Taking ownership of a significant (multi-channel) client portfolio you will develop and deliver a sustainable sales & margin growth strategy, aligning industry best practice, key customer learnings and external market demands, liaising and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure all customer needs are met and commercials are delivered.
Do you have the correct profile?
We welcome applications from experienced national/key account managers from within the packaging/print solution sector who are looking to join a market leader and add value. You will already be accustomed to owning and developing a significant portfolio of customers and have enjoyed prior exposure to managing clients within the retail/online retail or fulfilment/3PL arena. Ideally you will understand the challenges faced by retailers with the growth of e-com and be able to offer solutions to their packaging needs. It’s also important that you are an analytical and strategic thinker with first class presentation and communication & interpersonal skills, coupled with strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
Above all else you will be commercially driven, self-motivated with the will to succeed and excel in delighting your customers. We are extremely open on location for this appointment, so will consider candidates that meet our criteria anywhere across England (provided they are happy to travel which is of course a requisite of the role).
