The LGV Class 1 Driver role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join our business. We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are genuinely customer focussed, genuine team-players with good interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a flexible approach and strong work ethic. This role will be based on a 40 hour working week, comprising of Sunday (6:30pm-3:30am) and Monday-Thursday inclusive (7:00pm-4:00am). You will be undertaking night-time trunk driving within the wider region.
LGV Class 1 Key Duties
Reporting to the logistics manager, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, you must be an experienced Class 1 Driver with the appropriate driving licence (C+E licence, with no more than 6 points), hold a digi-card and be able to evidence at least one year’s experience of commercial LGV driving. Ideally, you will also have a forklift reach & counterbalance licence (training can be provided if not). It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Given the outlined working pattern for night time trunking, you must be happy with this proposed hours of work on a long-term arrangement as this is a permanent contract of employment.
