Territory: Wider East Midlands
Package: Basic salary £45,000 (negotiable on experience) plus attractive OTE, company car (or allowance), & flexible PLC benefits including bonus/commission, hybrid working & up to 27 days holiday (Plus additional annual leave purchasing scheme)

The Key Account Manager role
Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to take charge of a multimillion sales portfolio. The role will predominantly focus on some of our top tier (circa 40) customers within the region which generates combined annual revenues exceeding £10M. Reporting to the regional leadership, you will be working out of our site in Nottingham but will travel daily across the wider Nottingham area to conduct customer meetings.
Following an extensive induction program , you will be steadily introduced to each of these customers, in time assuming more responsibility and involvement with each as you seek to protect & grow these key relationships. Your success shall also be measured against customer retention, account growth and gross profit targets which will require you to proactively identify & capitalise on all opportunities to increase sales/profitability by utilising a solution led sales approach.

Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, we are really seeking applications on this occasion from packaging sector sales professionals. An understanding and knowledge of the market is important given the level of responsibility attached to this role. We would also prefer our successful applicant to have enjoyed some specific exposure to corrugated packaging and a reasonable understanding of how to sell this effectively.
In terms of synergy, we would also ideally like the successful applicant to have had prior responsibility for a similar size of customer portfolio and so an ability to demonstrate success in managing such a significant customer base.
Our need is for someone to be based ‘on patch’ so to apply for this position you must live within the Nottingham or the immediately surrounding area (including Leicester, Derby).
You will also be accustomed to using a solution sales approach whereby customer needs are central to the whole process. Presentable, polished, intelligent and articulate, you will be commercially aware, goal orientated and self-driven.
