Macfarlane Group PLC is the UK’s largest packaging distributor and we are seeking to hire an experienced Key Account Manager to join our highly successful sales team based out of our Milton Keynes site. The Key Account Manager role
Due to continued growth within the region, an exciting opportunity has arisen whereby we are seeking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager, this to take charge of a c£4.5M blue-chip client portfolio which contains over 100 customers (some high profile) spanning a range of industrial & e-commerce sectors. The role be based out of our Milton Keynes site, but involve regular travel to meet with key accounts based across the wider region You will act as the main contact for the assigned key accounts, responsible for ensuring our successful delivery of solutions to meet their needs, but you shall also be targeted to grow the portfolio pro-actively, identifying and capitalising on opportunities to increase spend via a consultative and solution led sales approach.
Key Account Manager Key Duties
Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, you must have a minimum of 12 months sales experience at key or national accounts level. Applicants must have enjoyed exposure to managing similar sized customer accounts (typically up to £1M spend) and ideally a comparable account portfolio c£4.5M combined annual spend). You must be used to selling a fully service led solution that places the customer and their needs at the centre of all you do. It is important that you can demonstrate how you have successfully managed and grown a similar portfolio of customer accounts within your current role. Presentable, polished, intelligent and articulate, you will be commercially aware, goal orientated and self-driven. Applicants will ideally reside central to the proposed territory (so within a 30 mile radius of our Milton Keynes site) and hold a valid UK driving licence that facilitates the willingness to travel within the wider region. A background in packaging whilst potentially advantageous is not essential, as full product training shall be provided
